In the summer of 2020, director Phil Eichinger reached out about his short film, “Artichoke Boy.”
I was hired to storyboard, animate, and edit the short film.
The film uses a 2D, crayon-drawn style based on initial character designs by Phil, all brought to life through traditional cel animation.

Production Process
After finalizing the character designs, we moved into the story phase. I created an animatic, which is a rough edit of drawings to help figure out the beats of the film.
This is the animatic that eventually became “Artichoke Boy.”
